Character Counts: A Father's Influence

Lunch date at our favorite ramen spot in ATX!

Hi Tribe,

A warm welcome to our new subscribers! You each enrich our community, and I'm grateful for your connection. As always, I'm here to share the journey, offering insights and support, particularly for fellow fathers navigating the challenges of family life & professional development.

I hope your week has been both fulfilling and fruitful on all fronts.  I'm gearing up for another exciting week ahead as I prepare for our National Sales Meeting in Mexico.

Lately, I've been contemplating the essence of character and its profound impact on our lives. Raised in a home where character was emphasized, I've come to appreciate its significance more than ever. I firmly believe that strong character serves as a compass, guiding us through life's twists and turns. Moreover, it aligns seamlessly with our faith journey. When we embody the values of love and compassion, we reflect the essence of our Creator.

It's disheartening to witness individuals achieving success at the expense of their character, a trend prevalent across various spheres. Yet, we must remember that character is of utmost importance, for it inevitably shapes our legacy.  As dads, it's our responsibility to teach these values to our kids.  We must teach, model, and celebrate integrity, recognizing that true success is rooted in moral fortitude.

In today's society, the consequences of neglecting character development are glaring. It's a collective responsibility to address this issue, and it begins with us, within our homes. We must cultivate environments where character is revered and nurtured.

I’ll wrap with a thought-provoking question I heard on a podcast I listened to this weekend: Do you love God or do you love the benefits of God?  A great question to ponder as we head into another week.

Here's to another week of purposeful living and intentional fathering.
