The Power of Visible Memories

“When my father didn’t have my hand, he had my back.” ― Linda Poindexter

Happy Sunday, Tribe --

The most powerful stories often come from simple things. Take, for example, something small but meaningful: putting up pictures of your kids in different parts of life.  I've made it a practice, and it's amazing how these images have become anchors of strength and joy.

Whether it's on my refrigerator, in my office, my daughter's room, or scattered throughout our home, these visual reminders create priceless memories. My daughter, in particular, delights in these snapshots, stealing glances before opening the fridge or freezer. It's a ritual that adds a sprinkle of joy to her routine.

For me, these pictures are more than frozen moments in time; they are portals to inspiration. I've strategically placed them everywhere, and each glance serves as a reminder of the beautiful responsibility that is fatherhood. Before making any decision, big or small, I find myself immersed in these visual narratives.

At this juncture in my life, the motivation to do the right thing comes from my daughter. Her smiling face, frozen in a photograph, compels me to tread the path of integrity and resilience. It's a silent but potent force, a beacon that guides me through tough decisions and challenging moments.

Is it the same for you? Do the visual imprints of your loved ones fuel your determination and shape your choices? There's an undeniable strength in the tangible connection to our past, a connection that propels us toward a future we're proud to create.

So, I invite you to reflect. Do you have these visual reminders around you? In those moments of decision-making, do the faces of your loved ones influence your choices? It's a subtle yet impactful practice, a visual journey through the tapestry of our relationships, shaping not just our present but the legacy we're crafting for the future.
